CHESS and Appalachian Regional Health System announce value-based care collaboration
Boone, NC – Appalachian Regional Health System, a leader for health care in western North Carolina, and CHESS Health Solutions, a health care services company based in the Triad, announce a new collaboration to deliver high quality, coordinated health care to patients in northwest North Carolina and northeast Tennessee.
These two nationally recognized, high-performing organizations will work together to care for patients through a value-based care model. This model greatly enhances a provider’s ability to improve the quality of patient care, while lowering the cost of that care through prevention, innovation, care coordination, waste reduction and information sharing.
“We are very excited about our partnership with Appalachian Regional Health System because it is a nationally recognized health care organization that excels in positive patient outcomes and has high satisfaction scores. They are deeply committed to making life better for their patients. This collaboration will benefit all who are involved, especially the patient population in the High Country.”
CHESS president Yates Lennon, MD
CHESS has collaborated with a number of health systems to make the transformation to value-based care by implementing innovative care models and establishing value-based contracts with insurance carriers. CHESS’ value partners include Catawba Valley Medical Group, Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, AdventHealth Hendersonville, Northern Regional Hospital, Kintegra Health and Wake Forest Health Network.
